Additional Info
Terroir Area Information: Terroir: Hoshino, Yame, Fukuoka, Japan Plant Information: Albino tea: A natural mutation turning the leaves yellowish-white; also sold as golden sencha. High amino acid content. Cultivar origin: created by tea master Akihito Takaki from seeds of the mutated plants and named Hakusei (“White Star”) after the village of Hoshino, whose own name means “Star Field” Cultivation Information: Growing conditions: Cooler mountain valleys; harvest runs roughly a month behind the lowland areas. Sencha is uncommon in Yame. Declarations of Inferences and Presumptions: Brewing parameters: taken from the vendor's own "How to brew Japanese green tea" guide, which the product page links to in place of per-product instructions. The figures are that guide's SENCHA row (3-5 g, 150 ml, 80 C, one minute), and are type-level guidance rather than a product-specific recommendation.
